Skillful Action

From the Kriya Satsang Bulletin - By Ryan Kurczak

As long as our awareness is distorted by erroneous ideas and faulty perceptions endeavors to promote psychological transformation and spiritual growth are necessary. The positive results of yoga practice is due to the unfoldment of our soul qualities, and not our personal actions. Our skillful actions clear the way for our Self-realization to blossom and grow naturally.
Whether meditating, praying, or taking appropriate action in our mundane affairs, the key is to act without attachment to the results. By remaining present and focused on the task at hand without anxiety about the results we are able to work more effectively in the world without distraction from worry or other useless debilitating mental states. With practice, living in this way can enable us to experience life as oneness, free of compulsion or inner resistance to the support of grace.
When our intelligence is firmly established in the realization of our immortal soul nature, through skillful living and proper meditation, life becomes joyful. No matter what work we are called to do, we can do it with ease because of knowing that we are supported in God.
